New State of Distress

People of color face significant challenges, especially within predominantly white institutions. During the peak of the 2016 elections, incidents of racism escalated on my undergraduate campus. Located in Collegeville, PA, a stronghold of Trump supporters, students of color, including myself, relied on campus safety and the institution's administration to address and resolve these issues. Unfortunately, our trust in these entities steadily eroded as our reports were consistently ignored or insufficiently addressed. This project was born out of the anxiety and isolation experienced by many students who felt abandoned while the administration prioritized a campaign marked by hate.
