At the end of 2022, I began working alongside Nuestras Raices Inc., a non-profit organization focused on the education, preservation, and promotion of Latin American culture throughout the Baltimore area. I eventually took on a position as Treasurer and staff photographer. The importance of cultural representation has always been central to my work, fueling my desire to become their staff photographer. In addition to my core responsibilities, I contributed to the organization’s artistic and creative direction, particularly in shaping our advertising efforts. Through my photography and design work, I helped visually communicate our mission and engage a broader audience. By aligning our visuals with the organization’s cultural goals, I contributed to furthering Nuestras Raices’ mission to celebrate and amplify Latin American heritage in an authentic and impactful way.
